No smokes

Well today is the first day of quitting smoking for me. Not sure how much craft ill get done now as I smoked far too much while scrapping and just sitting at my desk makes me crave one. Here are a couple of things I made yesterday

My new niece

My sister in law gave birth yesterday morning to a healthy little girl, Layla Jasmine. So of course I had to make her something for her room. The first thing I made was a reverse canvas and recorded all the details of her birth. The second thing is a free standing butterfly by Kaisercraft. I'm so happy with how they both turned out. Only 2 more sleeps before I get to finally meet her

Canvases

Lately I've been working on some reverse canvases. I just love making these, they are so much fun to make. Firstly I prime the canvas with gesso then I had texture paste. While the paste is still wet I add glimmer mists in a couple of different colours. I then use a heat gun to dry it off then sprinkle perfect pearls over the canvas. I spray it all lightly with water and then wait for it to dry before I embellish it.

Stress overload

Can't believe I have two days left until my first market. I'm so nervous and excited. I'm stressing I don't have a lot of items to sell. Being my first market I have no idea what to expect. Here are a few of my cards. Hope you like them

Spectrum Noirs

Today I've been playing with my spectrum Noirs. I still haven't mastered them but am a lot better than I used to be. My favourite is the Whimsy Stamps Silver Fairy

8x8 layouts

Well who would've thought that scrapping an 8x8 album would be harder than a 12x12 album. There is a lot less room and therein lies my problem. I am really struggling with this. I've only completed 3 pages and am very disappointed in them. I guess it will get easier if I persevere, I hope. I am quite happy with the first page but the last one leaves a lot to be desired

No rest for the wicked

Grrrrrr, i was only saying to a friend yesterday that its lucky I havent come down with the flu like a lot of other people. I spoke to soon. 2am this morning I woke feeling like id been hit by a truck. Id love to go back to bed but I have so much to do to get ready for this market. Im so excited and nervous as well, its my first ever market and I am so scared it will be a failure. I dont have a lot of confidence as you can tell lol

Busy bee

Well I've got less than three weeks to prepare for my first market so am working, working and working. And drinking coffee lol. Here's just a few things I've been doing. The top and bottom photos feature the gorgeous Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden paper. I am so in love with that range I didn't want to cut it up lol. The middle photo features cards made from a CDROM that came free in a magazine. It was an Art Deco one and I just adore the images 

Im back :)

Well it certainly has been awhile since my last post. I have now made a promise to keep this updated every day. Things are really happening here. I have a facebook page where i sell pre made scrapbook layouts and cards and im participating in my very first market in three weeks. Ive come along way since my last post lol i hope i will some followers to keep me company along my journey
